HOW INK-DEMONS WERE CREATED
Origin Story
Ink-Demons creation wasn't through evolution, no, they were created by a god. A god who was abandoned by his brothers and sisters becoming the pure darkness with a heart so black, blacker than the darkest void. His name was Roizhen. He wanted to be like his Brother, Nhad, who created Life and provided them with a beautiful land without diseases and hate. It was perfect. But the brother was so jealous he sent out his minions to spread a disease, which turns bones, flesh, organs and skin into crystals. It slowly eats up the body and immobilized Nhad's creation. Nhad was angry, the Gods turned against their darker brother and exiled Roizhen for his actions. The god became darker and colder, the more the years passed by.
Betrayed, broke and cold, he turned his head against all the laws Nhad had created and tried to claim In'ahek as his. Roizhen used his godly powers to create his very own species, the Ink-demons. This is how this species came to life, it spreaded all across the globe claiming In'ahek as theirs and ruled over it. However, soon his species began to cooperate with Nhad's creations. He thought he created monsters to devour Nhad's planet, but his plan went wrong, as he saw how social and friendly his creations were. Full of rage, he was about to destroy the whole planet but suddenly stopped and observed his creations building up friendships, packs and a civilized structure.
For the first time in over hundred's of years, he started to feel something else than endless darkness and hatred. He grown from once the brutal and dark god, to the personal guardian of this world. At this moment Nhad and Roizhen begun to be brothers again, ruled together this place to keep peace between the species.
THE CURSE

Every Ink-Demon knows this warning. Some listen, some doesn't.
Singing Crystals is a big Island, crystallized rocks sharp as a knife stick out of the ground creating subtle vibrating soon as you put a foot on the surface. Distant screeches are a clear warning to those who want to enter this island. Familar looking statues seem to randomly stand in this area, not many knows that Ink-Demons that got lost in here turned to these statues and their souls are still captured inside, not able to die or find peace.
By all these warnings only the foolish beings remain to investigate further, a cavesystem with many entrances will be their end. The Observer is this islands guardian, ancient stories say Nhad and Roizhen shared their powers to create a gigantic gem inside a hidden cave which stored all life power of In'ahek. This gem is fragile after the two brothers fought their battle, even a touch could shatter it into thousand peaces. If this gem shatters, this world will die painfully.
Whoever dares to enter the caves will suffer from a sickness, called the Crystalline Curse. If you stay too long inside this caves it will slowly immobilize you and turn you into a statue. You can save yourself by leaving this island quickly, this slows down the curse to a minimum. It may take about 100 years for an ID to turn into a gem-statue as long as they will not take a foot on this Island again. However, limbs or organs can be affected by the curse slowing an Ink-Demon down or causes health issues.

Currently there is no cure, the only one that can remove it is The Observer himself and to get him to do this is pretty much impossible, unless...
THE GREATER GODS
Roizhen
Roizhen is the main god, he is Nhad's brother and created with him life. He was betrayed by the other gods thus made him become blind by his madness.
Nhad
Nhad is the second main god, he is the god of everything that exists, he created life. He is Roizhens brother.
The Messenger
Ixtyl is a demi-god that wanders all across the globe to gather and spread news from and for the gods.
